The Journey Begins!!!

Well, tomorrow is the big day, Team Training for our Goodwill Assistance Dog Academy begins!!

From Monday, June 2 until Friday, June 13 Ramona and Tim will teach Mason, Rich and me the skills we will need to be a successful team with our new service dog.

Danny, Topper and Murphy already know 90 commands so we have a lot to learn.

Our dogs will be able to help us be more independent in our day to day activities. They can open and close doors, turn lights on and off, retrieve items and deliver them to us, and the list goes on and on.

Each dog has undergone two years of intense training. They have been to numerous public places and have been cared for by multiple loving volunteers.

Rich's Family...now complete

These sweet fur babies are now ready to start their new lives with their new families.  I know it is bittersweet for the many fabulous people who have loved and help train these precious dogs.
